MIT Sloan Admissions invites you to join our Faculty Spotlight Series on Family Enterprise with Senior Lecturer John A. Davis.

Family-owned businesses are being profoundly reshaped by today’s disruptive environment, making it even more complex to own, lead, and govern a family enterprise. In today’s turbulent age—marked by pandemics, technological advancements, rapid change, shifting industries and business models, and other contemporary challenges—business families are traversing new territory. This calls for business families and next generation members to elevate their strategies and planning in order to adapt to the new reality.

In this virtual masterclass, Professor Davis provides an overview of this new age, explores how family businesses are being impacted by it, and discusses how it is reshaping the careers and talent preparation of next generation members.

Davis is a globally recognized pioneer and authority on issues related to the family enterprise, family wealth, and the family office. He is founder and chairman of the Cambridge Family Enterprise Group, a global organization he created in 1989 that is devoted to helping enterprising families achieve long-term and lasting success for their families, enterprises, and financial wealth.
